Cokin Z-Pro 073 Gray 2 Wide-Angle Center Spot Resin Filter
The Cokin Z-PRO 073 Wide Angle Grey 1 Resin Filter provides a larger center spot area than previous Cokin Center Spots. The filter has a clear spot in the center and allows for the portrayal of an object in a gray colored surrounding.
The #2 (073) provides a darker background than the lighter #1 (072). The filter effect is directly influenced by the f-stop and the focal length. The transformation is softer with wider apertures. The size of the clear circular area increases relatively with the selection of longer focal lengths. The exposure determination should be done without the filter. If the camera has the capability of spot-metering, then one can measure with the filter in place.
The Z-PRO Series is recommended for focal lengths of 20mm onwards (in the 35mm format). This filter is made of CR39 Resin which is a reputable lightweight and unbreakable optical material also used for ophthalmic glasses.
