Cokin Z-Pro 121S Graduated G2 Soft Gray Resin Filter - Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed.
Cokin graduated gray ND filters are part clear, part neutral density. They allow the transition to be blended into the scene, often imperceptibly. A ND.6-to-clear, with a two stop differential, will generally compensate the average bright sky-to-foreground situation and is also the most popular density of the series.
The Z-PRO Series is recommended for focal lengths of 20mm onwards (in the 35mm format).
Note! This filter measures 100 x 150mm (4 x 6") and fits the Cokin Z-Pro holder

I use this filter for both film and digital. Very satisfied with it although I need to use it sometimes with a 1 stop grad to take perfect sunset shots.

Comments about Cokin Z-Pro 121S Graduated G2 Soft Gray Resin Filter:
Very nice filter! The graduated neutral density filter is considered by some to be the staple of filter photography and I believe it! It was actually lighter than I expected. This really good for skies! I might have gone for a hard step first, but it is hard to tell. A++++

Comments about Cokin Z-Pro 121S Graduated G2 Soft Gray Resin Filter:
I have a 17-40L canon lens and used before the cokin P. You will obtain less vignette with cokinz setup but with the use of a slim polarizer and not at all without it.
The image will be a little bit soft when you use these filters but they are the cheapest gradual choice. I have them all the time at me and they are a helpful product.
One more downsize: the can be scratched very easily and this will be a problem when you shoot at f11 or higher and with more than a second exposure in diresct sun!

Comments about Cokin Z-Pro 121S Graduated G2 Soft Gray Resin Filter:
What can I say? It works great and like all of Cokin's filters, it's build quality is very high.
Very useful for grabbing detail in a bright sky when exposing for a darker subject.
