The Graduated Neutral Density Kit from Cokin consists of three filters: 121L (1 stop), 121M (2 stops) and 121S (3 stops). Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed. Cokin graduated ND filters are part clear, part neutral density. They allow the transition to be blended into the scene, often imperceptibly.
These filters have several uses and offers the possibility to achieve very interesting results. They enable the shooter to adjust exposure without affecting color balance. An ND filter appears gray and reduces the amount of light reaching either the sensor of a digital camera or the film plane of a traditional film camera.
A Neutral Density filter is used to create some unusual special effects such as capturing the "blur" of the rippling water of a waterfall or the swirling effect of city traffic. Since it allows the use of slower shutter speeds in bright light, it becomes possible to create these special effects that would normally not be possible to capture without the filter. And, since it can also help to control your depth of field, it permits you to shoot at wider apertures. Ultimately, its value is in helping to prevent bright, overly washed out images shot in bright light.
Cokin filters are used worldwide by pro and amateur photographers. They present an affordable alternative to more expensive filter systems.

The kit is useful, may save you a bit of money compared to buying the filters separately.
However the P121M (2 stop grad filter) has a strong magenta color cast, which is absolutely unacceptable for me. It is not neutral at all. That color cast appears almost at any shutter speed. The rest of the two filters work well, although the P121M would have been the most useful since the sky is almost always at least 2 stops brighter than the foreground. You always get what you pay in photo equipment, and these filters are no different. The glass is thin and feels cheap. The color cast is unacceptable.
Lee makes lot better filters, but the price is also 4 times more.
For now this will do the job until I save up for the upgrade.

As a beginning hobbyist photog,I was experiencing too much glare in some of my landscape shots. I'm not always able to have camera in hand when the light is at it's best. This set of ND filters gives me an extra tool when I"m shooting in harsh light.

This was my first purchase of a filter kit. Having the filter holder and 3 different densities of a graduated style filter, was a great deal for me. I would recommend it, just make sure you get the correct adapter rings for your various lenses you want to apply this to.

I like Cokin filters. They are always good quality at a reasonable price. I purchased this filter set to "fix" landscape shots around where I live. Our skies tend to be flat and these help give the horizon a more dimensional quality. I recommend them.

A nicely priced ND kit. Isn't perfect but gets the job done and doesn't cost $65 per filter (or more) either. Any color cast can be corrected by processing in LR or PS in 30seconds or less. Use for landscapes and shoot RAW.

Comments about Cokin Graduated Neutral Density Filter Kit for "P" Series (3 Filters and Filter Holder):
Great product that will subtley knock down the exposure of the sky without intruding upon the foreground. Simple to use, screw on the adapter, install the mount, then slide in whichever filter you want. I have not noticed any color cast from the filters. Only downside is the lack of a good carrying case, the plastic ones they provide with the filters are bulky and prone to cracking. Would recommend trying to source a better way to carry them, these ones will be gone as soon as I find something appropriate.

These filters are a perfect way to cut down on strong differences in the strength of light of the sky compared to the foreground. Sunsets do not always have to be silhouettes. I am enjoying the difference they make.

The holder fits nice and snug. The filters are big enough to have plenty of room to move and the build quality is good.
The only negative I've found so far is the edges of the filters seem like they'll chip easily to handle with care.

Comments about Cokin Graduated Neutral Density Filter Kit for "P" Series (3 Filters and Filter Holder):
I just received my ND Grad Kit and tried it out this morning. I'm still waiting for my adapter rings so had to use hand held but was very pleased with the resulting pictures. Had great cloud detail and well balance exposure. My shots usually turn out with a washed out sky but with the ND Grad Filters I had great results. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to balance the sky and landscape.
