Meopta's eyepiece lineup for their great spotting scopes includes this fixed-magnification unit. While it is advised to have a zoom eyepiece for birding and other nature observing applications for its versatility beyond reproach, this 30x Wide Angle Eyepiece with Ranging Reticle fixed-magnification unit has its own unique advantages. It is both brighter and sharper than its zooming sibling, and offers a significantly wider apparent viewing angle than the zoom at the same magnification setting. Thus you'll feel like you're surrounded by the view, which is always a pleasant experience.
This special eyepiece can only be used with the TGA 75 collapsing scope, and features a ranging reticle which can be used to determine the distance to subjects when you know their approximate height.
