This Giottos QU 400 convertible tripod can be used either as a table-top tripod, or as a mini or hand-held monopod. The horizontal support legs fold into the central column and allows the U-Pod to be used as a mini monopod. Unfolded, the legs become a platform turning the U-Pod into a stable mini tripod.
- The QU 400 is compact enough that in can easily be carried around with the camera still attached
- The ballhead allows for complete adjustment through any angle while the camera is horizontal plus a fixed 90-degree tilt to place the camera in a vertical position
- Constructed of an aluminum alloy, it is protected by a wear proof black lacquer
- Complete with wrist strap for convenient carrying

I needed a compact tripod for travel and got this one for Christmas. It is fine for indoor use, but the first time I tried to use it outdoors, one of the legs snapped off. I was trying to adjust it on a soft dirt surface and the leg fractured under very slight pressure.
