I use the Lithium battery to power my 443 mixer and up to 5 RF mikes. Its great because I no longer have to monitor individual battery levels.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
The NP-1 may seem like an old design, but its multiple uses keep our busy production department afloat. We use the IDX NP-1s to power our various cameras (Sony, Panasonic, RED), field monitors, HDMI converters, field mixers, and wireless video transmitters. This kind of versatility is invaluable to us. The IDX brand has proven reliable and have provided years of heavy use.

Great product to have,I use it to power my 4ch mixer,4 lectro 411A receivers plus a recorder and it last 3 to 4 days before recharging.
I am saving a lot on buying disposable batteries especially the 9v we all know how expensive they have become.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
Just received this battery two weeks ago, so these comments are preliminary. This was purchased to replace some dying NP style Nickel Metal Hydride batteries that I have had since 2005. I am using this in my JVC GY-500U Pro Video Camera. Seems to have lots of reserve power. Starts out at 16 volts with a full charge.
Stays around 14 - 15 volts for a long time. The LED status indicator helps me know how much charge I have left as I load the battery.
Very pleased with this battery so far. Will probably purchase another one before the end of the year. Make sure that your IDX charger is compatible with Lithium Ion as not all models are.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
I have been using these for about 5 years now.
One powers my HD monitor.
Two power the Varicam.
Two in an external holder power other stuff.
They are great, economical and the led's give you a quick indicator of power remaining.
I have 12 of these and they are my main battery squeeze.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
I bought 2 for my dual NP1 battery holder with Anton Bauer mount. I could get at least 3 hours continous use with dual batteries attached. When fully charged, it starts off with 16.4 volts but then turns off at around 11.5 volts. Overall, I am very much satisfied with the product and would buy 2 more for backup.
Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
These batteries are terrific - I use them with my old betacam, monitors, lights, as well as the new Sony EX-3. An NP-1 box designed with a 4-pin XLR enables me to power just about everything! IDX supports their products.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
I use these batteries for everything from weddings to tv commercials. They outlast every other NP-1 battery I've tried. I only wish they would sustain their long range power characteristics longer than a few years, especially when replacement cost is nearly $200.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
I use this battery in my 6-year old JVC DV500 video camera to shoot weddings professionally. After going through many NiCad batteries over that time, the LI is the real deal. Where the NiCads had the usual problems with memory and shorter and shorter use times, all I need now are two LI's for the entire job (usually about 4-5 tapes/hours worth).
Problems: Yeah, they're expensive ($170 a pop). And you have to keep an eye on the output voltage (if your cam is capable) because when they run out, it is with very little notice. And the charge time is much longer than with the NiCads.
Finally, the instructions that came with the batteries tell you to leave them in a discharged state when you're finished with them. But the IDX web site says to charge them up after use. I have found that charging them back up before putting them away is the way to go. The first battery I got started keeping less and less of a charge leaving it discharged between jobs. A word to the wise...

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
We own about 100 of these. We're so invested in the NP system: we have np adaptors for all of our cameras, we have innumerable chargers, w/m mounts that attach to the back of the np holders on the back of the camera. we're unable to change to another battery system. it would be too expensive. so we love these batteries. they power the cameras for a very long time. they're light and the charger is light.

Comments about IDX NP-L7S NP-Style Lithium-Ion Battery:
Good battery that gives you power for a long time. Like the power indicator to show how much charge is left. I had two for 6 years, one I managed to kill and the other is still going strong. Just need to make sure you don't store without a charge, they will lose some charge if they are not used for awhile.
