The Ewa-Marine VC-FX Rain Cape is a rain cape made for the Sony HDR-FX1 or HVR-Z1 camcorders. It is manufactured from special PVC material and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port to protect the camcorders lens against rain, salt spray, sand dirt, etc.

The camera is attached to the front port, by means of a C-AF adapter. This system attaches the cape to the camcorder and holds the front port in front of the lens like an optional, clear filter. You can open a flap on the cape and use the cameras LCD-monitor, this is ideal for tripod operation. The VC-FX cape allows both hand held as well as tripod operation of the camera.
