I haven't yet used this with the camera, but I've used it to extend the cord to record on the computer, and it seems to work pretty well for that so far.

Not much to say: simple cable that works. I use it with the Rode VideoMic Pro and the Micro boom pole.

It's a great cable. Good build and long enough for most "amateur-booming" situation. I was worried for my system not being balanced. However, with this cable, not only can I say my audio has improved by a lot more than I could have expected, I can also say that the price makes it a steal. Very recommended!

Could be a bit thicker in terms of the shielding, but the impedance appears to match the Rode VM in terms of the thickness of the cable etc.
It has a coil at the mic end which is helpful, I guess...but so does the cable on the mic...so...I don't know what that is really all about.
It would be nice if the recorder end had a right angle, but I can live with it.

I use this when i mount my Rode Videomic on a boom pole, the cable does not add any unnecessary weight to my setup and it's fairly easy to manage, meaning it will take a little pulling but being a lightweight cable you obviously don't want to abuse it. Great investment.

I use Rhode shotgun Microphone on a canon 60D dslr. With the extension cord I can use the shotgun mircophone as a boom. Simply with the use of some rubber band and a broomstick I create an impromtu boom. This makes my DSLR rig a bit more flexible. I also can place the microphone on a table when interviewing people and thus have excellent sound pickup without having to fiddle with lavalier microphones. If you purchase a microphone with the small jack, get the extension cord too. I like the spiral section at the end that gives you a bit of extra flex to prevent damiging the cable when streched.

This is the only extension I found that worked when using the Video MicPro on a boom that kept the signal strength. I actually used 2 extensions together (though it's not recommended) which gave me 20 feet of extension to use the VMPas a proper boom, the combination worked great.

I bought this as part of a Rode shotgun and boom pole kit, there is not much to say, it does the job of extending the signal down the pole to my portable Tascam recorder.

Use this product with boom pole and RodeMic to get close to performers of skits. It came as part of a package with the RodeMic and boom pole and a couple of other accessories. Definitely, a great value.

I use it with my Rode VideoMic on my DSLR (Nikon D7000). Perfect to bring the mic close to suject, exemple, interview. The combo is honest and it's a perfect match with my needs. I didn't notice any noise, but I was on a static setup, indoor. Great product.
