Apple's 14" iBook G4 1.42 GHz Computer gives you all the power of a Macintosh computer in an easily portable and attractive form. The laptop's case is made of polycarbonate plastic, the same material used to make bulletproof glass and is designed to meet the needs of video editors, graphic designers, educators and businesspeople.

The computer is loaded with 60GB of hard drive space, 512MB of RAM, the ATI Mobility Radeon 9550 display card and Apple's slot-loading SuperDrive, an 8x DVD burner. This is all built around Apple's G4 architecture and powered by Mac OS X, a true 64-bit operating system. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 6 hours of use on a single charge, allowing you to work on your computer on the go without worrying about finding a power outlet.

• G4 Processor: The system is powered by a 1.42 GHz G4 processor powered by a 142 MHz frontside bus, delivering one of the fastest portable computers on the market today. This gives you room to grow with the system and ensures that it will last for years to come.

• 14" LCD Display: The 14" LCD display delivers crisp, clear graphics. It is large enough to allow you to work efficiently while still keeping the laptop small enough to be easily portable.

• ATI Mobility Radeon 9550 Graphics Card: The display card offers lightning fast graphics, powerful 3D effects and dual outputs. This allows you to effectively and crisply work with dual displays, which increases productivity in many applications.

• Built-in Wireless: AirPort Extreme uses wireless technology based on the 802.11g standard, as does Bluetooth 2.0+EDR for wireless connections to PDAs, cell phones and other peripherals. This comes standard in your iBook, in addition to the built-in Ethernet port and 56K modem for wired networking.

• 8x SuperDrive: The SuperDrive allows you to burn DVD and CD discs at lightning fast speeds, making it easy to transport and archive data from your computer.

• FireWire-400 and USB 2.0 Interfaces: The laptop delivers FireWire-400 and USB 2.0 connections, allowing you to connect a multitude of devices to your computer.

• Sudden Motion Sensor: The iBook comes with Sudden Motion Sensor technology. This is built-in protection for the hard disk that is designed to help prevent disk damage if the computer is abruptly dropped or sustains severe vibrations. The Sudden Motion Sensor instantly parks the hard drive heads to help reduce the risk of damage to the hard drive on impact. When the Sudden Motion Sensor senses that the iBook position is stable, it unlocks the hard drive heads, and you are up and running in mere seconds.

• Optional Protection: Apple provides 90 days of free phone support and a one-year limited warranty. You may choose to add an AppleCare Protection Plan to this package, which will extend your coverage for three full years, giving you peace of mind and ensuring that your system will run optimally for its effective life cycle.
