The OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap (Black) is designed to carry a tripod up to 40" with a camera, spotting scope or camcorder attached. It has a recommended load up to 25 lbs. The strap has 2 loops; one to wrap around the legs and a smaller loop that attaches to the column at the top of the tripod. The strap is very easy on the shoulder with thick neoprene padding and a Non Slip Surface that secures the strap snugly, leaving your hands free to deal with other equipment or rough terrain. It is fully adjustable up to 19.5-49" (49.5-124.5cm).
The design of the adjustment system allows the tripod to be carried with the camera, spotting scope or video in place. The tripod strap enables you to carry a tripod in a horizontal position, by the side or in a vertical position against the back. It has a quick disconnect that makes the strap easy to attach or remove.

As a nature photographer I use a tripod a good deal of the time and thus spend a great amount of time lugging one around. I ordered this strap on a wim and after sending in the order I wondered if it had been money well spent. Two days after the strap arrived I had no doubt that it had been money well spent and I now can not imagine being without this strap. I own a 6 lb tripod and the excellent design of this strap and ample padding make carting the tripod around a pleasure. Plus the quick relase fastech buckles make releasing the strap when ready to use the tripod a breeze. As I say, money well spent!

To be fair. The product works exactly as I thought, but for me not so useful. I have an explorer gitzo tripod and its quite bulky to carry in any fashion over the shoulder. I wound up carrying the tripod by the leg.
Padding on the strap is good for the shoulder, but the tripod kept hitting be on the back and there is no padding for this.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap (Black):
I had planned to use my telescope and tripod for a local group outing. So, I bought this Op/Tech Tripod Strap, because I needed to transport the telescope to a dark location.
I adapted the strap to my Manfrotto 3058 tripod with no problem. If you don't know, this tripod is the largest of the 3k series, weighing in at 17.5 lbs.
The padded area of the strap is made of a stretch flex type material, kind of like a heavy duty spandex. It was easy to adjust the padded area to fit me and it was very comfortable to carry the tripod. I could carry the tripod around with no problem at all.
I recommend this strap to anyone who is looking for a comfortable carry strap, especially for the medium or large tripod. I really like this strap and do not regret buying it!

I use this strap with an 8 lb. wooden tripod, and it really makes my load feel lighter. The connections adapt well to my non-standard tripod, and the strap itself is comfortably padded and sturdy.

The OP/Tech Tripod strap is very comfortable to carry my Manfrotto 055cxpro3. I did not trust the plastic hook on the tripod so I was looking for a strap that you could wrap around the head and legs. This one fit the bill and am glad I made the decision to purchase this strap.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap (Black):
There's a certain gratification to slinging my new RRS TVC24L over my shoulder with my new low-tech [$] Op/Tech strap. The tripod's like air and with the strap it's just out of the way. I can carry with or without the D90 on it, and the strap is easy-on, easy-off. You're basically unaware of carrying anything extra. I can't even imagine what bells and whistles more expensive straps may have, and I;m not looking. No Cons, although i myself am given to putting it on with one end twisted: takes no more than a second to remedy. Disclosure: none - just a happy customer.

Nice strap. Good for holding gear. I really like how much cusion they provide. Only downside, and I am not sure this is the strap or the tripod, but it has slipped off the one end. My Gitzo tripod doens't have clips so this is the best solution to add a strap.

I needed a better way to carry my tripod in the field while I had two cameras and a camera bag over my shoulders and around my neck. This strap connects securely and easily with loops around the neck and feet of my tripod and the Op/Tech rubber strap pad made carrying light and easy.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Tripod Strap (Black):
The strap seems to be well-made and sturdy. I like the wide, dense padding on the strap. The buckles are reliable. However, the strap does not seem to be designed correctly for carrying the tripod on your back. The padded section is spaced approximately equi-distance from each end. This works fine if you want to carry the tripod at a horizontal angle under your arm. But I want it diagonally down the length of my back. For this arrangement, one end of the strap needs to be longer, to reach the lower back. Yes, I can shorten the other end but then it is too short overall. I managed to make this work by adding to the strap but it is not ideal. The wide padded part barely seats on my shoulder; it is mostly across my chest, where it is not needed and is hot. [...]

I was looking for a strap that would work on my tripod since one didn't come with it. I called my order and got the expert help that I needed (and that I didn't get from the local camera stores) in determining whether this would work for me and then in having it in stock. Thanks for the helpful advice!.

My wife and I are heading to Paris in the Fall and I needed a way to conveniently carry her tripod around for her...yes, I am the "assistant!"
I really like the padded neoprene strap, as that seems to ease the shoulder pain associated with extended carrying. The quick release works perfectly and having an adjustable length helps to position the tripod strap in a number of ways (i.e. over one shoulder, across the chest).
In addition, the price was too good to refuse...even cheaper than the stores in town have it for.

I often do not bring my tripod because I do not want to deal with carrying it. With this strap I carried it for hours during a hot weather hike. Hardly noticed it was there. Plus my tripod was with me when I wanted it. Great investment. Very well made, easy to use and comfortable.
Used on a Manfrotto 190XPROB

This is a must have for the one man band... even if you're not a one man band, this simple strap, with its' wide, shock absorbing, shoulder pad makes schlepping a tripod almost effortless. Heck, even a reporter might help now without grumbling.
