Comments about Denon DJ DN-HP1000 - Circumaural Dynamic Stereo DJ Headphones:
This my second pair of DN-HP1000 headphones, and like the pair that preceded it, it delivers extremely clean, solid sound across a wide range of classical and brass band music. The headphones are comfortable and exclude surrounding noises very well. I use them with both Macintosh computers and a Denon receiver/amp.

After opening these headphones, I grabbed my pair of HDJ 1000's (which broke on me during a gig...cheap construction) and played "Under the Influence" by The Chemical Brothers through them (the song has a massive bass drop in it which has messed up plenty of my cheaper model headphones) then compared the sound to the new Denon headphones and it was able to, not only, play the song back perfectly, but more clearly than the Pioneers ever did...after a month's worth of use, they're still holding up to the abuse I've given them...so far so good, I will defiantly stick with Denon headphones for a while

The Denon dn-hp1000's are an amazing pair of Dj-Headphones. They Have great sound quality, clear mid's and sharp hi's and a really clean deep bass. The comfort is amazing, the padding is soft and sturdy over the head and around the ear's. The design and look of the headphones is very attractive,Full metal components, adjustable and flexible hinges allow for great comfort at the turn tables or club. The only reason why i didn't give it 5 start was the lack of an 90 degree headphone adapter, all though it is capable of using the 1.8 mm and 3.5 mm, the 90 degree adapter is a must for djs.

These headphone can be used for any purpose! I use the when I'm traveling to listen to my iPhone / iPod. I use them to mix down tracks in my recording studio. I use them to DJ. However, my primary use for these is for the artist to monitor the music while recording in the studio.
They absolutly shine on all of the above mentioned applications and they sound better, look better, cost less and hold up better than the Beats. I have a pair of beats that I have had for about a year and the band broke on them. Moreover, the Beats are not DJ friendly! These still look and sound new after two years of professional use in the field and in the studio! They come with a quarter inch adapter and a nice bag to carry them in when in the field. They are loud enough for me to listen to my iPod on full blast with no distortion, on or off my ears. The closed back isolates the sound really well for recording and they look like what they are, a pair of professional headphones.
I like everything about them! Nothing negative to say at all!

I've been into dubstep music, and this headphone does not disappoint me at all. Great sound over all with great (and real) bass. I've been using it only 3 days, but so far I can only find good things about it. People complain about durability of this headphone, but I doubt it will break unless you through it on the floor or play with the swivel part of the head phone or something like that. This headphone definitely sounds great comparing to headphones like Dr. Dre Beat Studio (which is 2x expensive as this headphone).

I really enjoy these headphones. Lightweight for the size drivers, yet comfortable. The plastic is a little on the flimsy side but as ling as they are takin care of I can see them lasting a good while.

I use it 4 a monitoring. Very good isolation from extraneous sounds. So if you are a Dj, this one is 100% just 4 you! If you need to do a mastering job, you'll find it realy useful also as the freq range 5 Hz - 33 kHz! Other competitors are MORE expencive!
Audiophile could say that the sound is a bit rigid... But this ones not 4 an easy listening and relaxing! I like it! Made solid and will serve you well 4 a long time

Comments about Denon DJ DN-HP1000 - Circumaural Dynamic Stereo DJ Headphones:
I have been using these headphones for almost 2 years. They are impossible to pop, have unimaginable frequency response, and are extremely durable. They are a heavy headphone, but deliver the audio you'd expect from the weight. The swivel mechanism of the earcups is fairly unique to these, and make one-ear monitoring no problem at all, very easy to balance without any hands actually. Only complaint is that they clamp pretty tight (great isolation), and after a 3 hour gig, your ears may start to get a little sore, BUT ONLY if you move the headphone. Word of advice- put them on, keep them there, or take them on and off frequently and you will not be subject to any sort of fatigue. Excellent for both professional and listening use.
