Comments about Phonic PAA2 - Portable Audio Analyzer and Measurement Tool with RS232 Port and Condenser Microphone:
As a live sound engineer with a sound reinforcement company, I see a different venue almost every gig. I would be hard pressed to point out even one that has had acoustic treatments, of any kind. What I would have to say, is that the majority of these rooms have serious acoustic problems. Problems that can be different for the back line, and for the front of house. Problems that can compromise your sound integrity. Problems, that can take hours, that you don't have, to fix... Enter the PAA2 Real Time Analyzer.
This handy unit can whip a room,(with the help of a good dual 31 band graphic EQ) into shape, as well as my four monitor mixes in better time then ringing out the system, with comparable results. It allows me to 'set and forget' the front of house EQ's ,and devote my attentions to the board. And because I know the room is dialed in, I can assume the sound from the board is accurate and not being altered by the acoustic conditions. A very important factor for me and the performance. Basically the PAA2 makes me and my system sound good. And this is good for business.
