The DC1DSM2-P mounts without adhesives or physical alteration to the camera. An ingenious device that is very well thought out and well designed in most respects. In fact, once installed looks as if it was part of the camera.
It has one major flaw however. It's eyepiece has no locking mechanism. The eyepiece slides up quite easily and doesn't lock on. Most times this occured when stowing the camera in the case, but occasionally I would catch it sliding up when carrying the camera around. I eventually lost the eyepiece while on a remote photo shoot. The loss of the eyepiece renders the device useless for all practical purposes, and so far my efforts to obtain a replacement eyepiece have been fruitless.
