Comments about On-Stage Posi-Lok Clutch:
I've been using this for 2.5 years now, mainly with outdoor field recording. Why something this heavy-duty - well, two NT1A Rode mics on metal shockmounts, plus a stereo-bar between them, wind-block stuff, etc. In all, about 9-10 lbs. of mic, shockmount, and accessory weight. So far it's done a heck of a solid job with my setup. It isn't fancy, but handles the heavier stuff I happen to use. It also makes it fairly easy to adjust the tilt of the mics I have to do at times, just depends on if I'm dangling the rig or have it mounted from above. Either way does good, but again, that's my setup. Glad they still have it for sale here.

Comments about On-Stage Posi-Lok Clutch:
I use the Posi-Lok to attach a mic boom to my keyboard stand. For reasons I won't get into here, the mic boom comes off at an angle, and it's difficult to get the boom into the 'right' position and still have enough angle that it doesn't slowly slip down over the course of a gig. The Posi-Lok is very secure, and can be mounted at many different angles. One of them is bound to work.
I own three of these, and can't do without them!

Comments about On-Stage Posi-Lok Clutch:
I used these to make my own mic stand extensions for very small condenser mics.
Well made, sturdy, does exactly what it looks like it will do.

Comments about On-Stage Posi-Lok Clutch:
There's nothing fancy about this clutch and that's what I like about it. All metal construction that closes with a simple screw and large teeth that engage on both halves mean you set it and move on, no worries about the mic slipping from the placement you had in mind. Fast and easy. Also being so beefy I can't imagine a mic it couldn't handle, bring on the big boys! I use it to support multiple mics. Plus this thing rotates nearly 360 degrees so if you got some crazy need or a hard to reach placement, this has the flexibility to get you there.
