This Aquapac waterproof case will protect your large point & shoot camera from the elements at the beach and during activities such as swimming, kayaking, skiing, fishing, sailing, snorkeling or diving.
The waterproof case is manufactured from custom-made polymer plastics bonded together using high-frequency radio welding. The ultra-clear LENZFLEX material allows you to get excellent quality when taking photos through the case. It is easy to operate the camera controls through the flexible material.
The case is designed with a plastic quick-action sealing system, called the Aquaclip, this makes the case 100% waterproof with a simple twist of three levers to a depth of 15' (4.5m). The Aquaclip ensures that the Aquapac always stays in one piece, even when open, eliminating the need for loose screws or folding of the case.
This Aquapac case is designed for large point & shoot cameras. The camera needs to have a length no longer then 6.5" (165mm) and a circumference no larger then 13.8" (350mm). To make sure your camera fits in the case measure the circumference by stretching a piece of thread around the thickest part of the camera (include the lens fully extended). Then measure the thread with a ruler.

Comments about Aquapac Waterproof Case for Large Cameras:
Main reason I bought this case was to keep a larger point and shoot camera dry during a fishing trip. Case was functional but was a bit cumbersome to get the camera in and out. Kept the camera dry and was functional at taking pictures through. Settings need to be made prior to putting the camera in the case.

Comments about Aquapac Waterproof Case for Large Cameras:
1. The bag is waterproof. No problem there.
2. The clear plastic is flexible, thus the pictures are often quite distorted because the picture is being taken through a curved surface.
Thus, in my opinion, it is useless for underwater photography, even snapshots. Get a case with a rigid (flat) window for the lens.

Make sure to measure your camera carefully before ordering.
I bought this bag for a medium point-and-shoot camera, based on Aquapac's sizing recommendations. The bag was WAY too big, and my camera kept rolling around, often resulting in the LENZFLEX window not being in the right spot. Many of my pictures wound up looking like something out of the Sixties as a result.
The pictures I took while snorkeling were mostly out of focus or blurry due to the lens not lining up with the window; photos I took while stationary were OK.
The shoulder strap is pretty much useless when you're in the water.
I generally had no problems with leakage.
I would recommend to a friend, but make sure he/she measured first.

Comments about Aquapac Waterproof Case for Large Cameras:
It was a rush decision to buy this bag two days before my trip. Should of consider all the options. It was water tight but it wasn't easy to use, camera just turn around inside. Plus a shoulder strap unhooked twice under water. I would definitely recommend to buy a fitted enclosure for your specific camera.

Comments about Aquapac Waterproof Case for Large Cameras:
We bought the Aquapac as a last resort before we went on vacation to Puerto Rico since the underwater case for our new point and shoot was not out yet. We were skeptical about the quality of the Aquapac at first, but after several tests in the pool, it seemed it would not let us down. We took Aquapac on our trips to the beach and all over the island and I must say, it worked very well...considering...
It is a strong plastic bag that houses and protects your camera from water and sand, however, do NOT wear sunscreen when attempting to use the Aquapac. You will undoubtedly smear your sunblock (or sun tan lotion for that matter) all over the bag and it will render it useless(until the next chance you get to clean it). Your pictures will come out blurry and hazy. Other than that, the Aquapac saved our camera, and allowed for some great pictures. You can't even tell in the pictures, unless of course you get water bubbles, or sunscreen smeared all over the pac.
Fully recommend it...(as long as you leave the sunscreen behind)
Oh and remember, there is no flash picture taking with the Aquapac on. The flash bounces off the plastic and renders your images completely useless. Great for daylight/outdoor shooting!
