The X-FireWire-400 Card for Rosetta 800 from Apogee is designed to install in the Rosetta 800 conversion system. Once the card is installed your conversion system will be able to interact with your computer via a FireWire connection. Connecting your digital audio converter to your computer will give you a wealth of possibilities in how you use the device.
- Compatible with Apogee Systems
- The card is compatible with the AD-16X, DA-16X, Rosetta 200 and Rosetta 800 systems from Apogee. You'll immediately recognize the benefits of adding FireWire capability to your converter.
- Multiple Channel Support
- The card supports up to 8x8 24-bit channels at sampling rates of 88.2 or 96 kHz. If you require higher quality sampling rates, the card supports 4x4 24-bit channels at 176.4 or 192 kHz.
- Mac and Windows Compatible
- The WDM/ASIO audio drivers allow your converter to communicate with industry-standard audio and recording applications in Windows XP. Macintosh computers are supported through Apple's FireWire Core Audio driver, which is integrated into OS X. This gives you a variety of options as to which software you use with your converter.

I recently switched to Pro Tools 9. Figured since I was really only using my 002 to take the ADAT out of my Rosetta 800, I should just get the firewire card and remove the 002 from my rack. I installed the card in my rosetta easily and it worked immediately. Now I have 8 channels of I/O at 88khz+ through my rosetta with Pro Tools LE. Very cool. And I like the device control software that apogee provides as well.
