Comments about Denecke PS-1A - Portable Single Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply:
I have used it only once and it performed very well and feels like it would last for the next 50 years even when run over by a bus.
I use it for ambience recording with an ultra low noise mic where a low noise floor is paramount. will remove belt clip as I dont need it.

Comments about Denecke PS-1A - Portable Single Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply:
My application was powering a current-hungry studio condenser mic before a Lectro RF transmitter. The Denecke is tiny, ruggedly built with no moving parts, and works exactly as described. The only downside is cost, but there's very little else on the market for battery powered phantom supplies of this quality.

I use the PS-1A as a backup in case my wireless system fails. I haven't had to use it in a shoot yet, but I've tested and it works great. Its really small and portable, feels very sturdy.
