I have a project with over 5000 slides I am scanning, and these boxes have taken a nightmare, and helped make it an organized project.
The boxes take a label well, and they stack great. It is amazing how much less space they take than the huge boxes I had.
They are simple, but well made, and they work well.

Nice little storage boxes for 2x2 slides or envelopes or anything else. VERY hard rigid plastic and VERY tight fit of the top to the bottom which makes it hard to open the box once the top is in place. It's actually difficult to pry open with your fingers - no grip spot or gap to work with. The top slips down inside the lip edge of the bottom portion and it might be easier to open if the top closed *outside* the edge of the bottom instead, or perhaps if it wasn't quite such a tight fit. Or maybe if the plastic wasn't quite so hard and rigid, a little softer or more flexible. Not easy to find small legacy slide storage boxes so these will do OK for the job and the price is right.

Comments about Pakon Storage Box for 40 35mm Slides:
I have over 114 Airequipt slide cartridges I inherited from my father-in-law. I want to remove the slides while keeping the groupings he created for each cartridge. The cartridges hold 36 slides, these boxes hold 40. It works out perfectly. The boxes are sturdy, with good fit and finish and will function exactly as needed with no extra frills or "features". All I needed was an appropriately sized box that is sturdy enough to protect. That is this product. A good price for a good product.

Comments about Pakon Storage Box for 40 35mm Slides:
I have hundreds of old pictures on slides, most of which have been scanned & saved as digital files. For years I've looked for a better means of storing these slides that no longer need to be kept in the projector cases. The Pakon plastic storage cubes are the perfect solution - sturdy, keep away dust & dirt, and can be stacked neatly in a storage box. Identity labels can easily be attached. I was able to cut the necessary storage space in half.
Comments about Pakon Storage Box for 40 35mm Slides:
These slide boxes are great for storing an entire roll of film which makes it easier to catergorize into projects. The old boxes i've had could only store about 25 slides. The lids are tight, but really not bad at all and is good that they stay on even flipped.
Comments about Pakon Storage Box for 40 35mm Slides:
Nice, compact. I ordered 50 [...] Overall, good value.

Comments about Pakon Storage Box for 40 35mm Slides:
I now have 70 of these boxes. I have a massive project of scanning, editing and saving 20 years of slides from the late 60s into the 80s on to my computer...then to disks (mostly DVDs). I've been consolidating slides from trays, paper boxes, and vinyl pages.
These boxes make my job very easy to manage. I use small pieces of foam to keep the slides upright when storing less than 20.
The clear tops can be a little snug... but I consider this a plus.
I may need to order 20+ more.
