Its a hose that fits in the top of Paterson tanks, what can I say, it works.
Only downside is its a bit tough to use on conventional faucets without a bit of ingenuity. It looks like it was made to fit on a lab-style faucet tip (looks like a ridged cone, specifically made to have a hose fitted on the end).

This is a replacement hose to the one that i have used in my darkroom since 1997. I hope it lasts just as long if not longer. It is attached to my faucet and used all the time. I never remove it. The only difference i can tell, is that my older hose was probably 1-1/2 inches longer, or maybe it just stretched over time.

I develop my black and white film at home. I had one batch turn out a bit yellow after the prescribed wash time and felt something a little more sophisticated might be in order. This little hose fit the bill at a fraction of the cost of a machine. The black end fits tight in the patterson cone and flushes from the bottom up. The water is changed quickly and the light pressure washes the film clean. I was very pleased with my clean negatives.
