The Photogenic StudioMax III Constant Color Monolight offers a full six f/stop power range over 320 watt/seconds. It has internal control to ensure the same Kelvin temperature output, no matter what level of output is chosen.
This light is an excellent choice as a main, secondary, or background light. Since it accepts the entire line of the PowerLight reflectors, grids, snoots, and diffusers, the StudioMax III is a good investment.
This monolight is capable of operating with its optional battery pack, for working outdoors away from AC power.

I bought these lights as a sterter kit to get my portrait studio off the ground. So far I like them a lot. These are my first lights and they were easy to put together and operate, also the manual that comes with them is very easy to understand and helpfull for the novice photographer!

Comments about Photogenic StudioMax III Constant Color 320 W/S Monolight (120VAC/12VDC):
Nice little lights. I like that they are not too much power so that I can shoot wide open. I already owned Photogenics so it was a no brainer for me because all my accessories fit. I like the idea of having a battery option although I have not tried it yet. My only negative feedback is the on/off switch seems pretty poorly made.

Comments about Photogenic StudioMax III Constant Color 320 W/S Monolight (120VAC/12VDC):
I have 2 studiomax III 320w/s (a/c only) already. They are powerful, solid, cheap and made in USA. I need a d/c powered for outdoor use. So I got one more. D/C power for full output need 6 sec recharging with photogenic battery pack. But using Quantum Turbo 3 can boost 2 sec faster. Anyway, go for the light you will happy.

Comments about Photogenic StudioMax III Constant Color 320 W/S Monolight (120VAC/12VDC):
I have used these lights since I started my business. They are really easy to use and when they work, they work great. However, the newest ones I have purchased are not as reliable. They do not consistently flash, so I always have a backup one in my case. I use FreeXWires with them and have good results with them.
