The StudioMax III Constant Color Monolight is microprocessor controlled; it offers a full 6 F-Stop power range in 0.1 F-Stop increments with no color shift, and a 100 watt modeling light for ease of aiming. Each of the two AKC320 lights is an excellent choice as a main, or secondary unit. Since it accepts the entire line of the PowerLight reflectors, grids, snoots, and diffusers, the StudioMax III is a good investment.
This Photogenic StudioMax III Portrait Studio 2 Light Kit provides a total of 640 w/s: ample power for many photographic applications. It also includes umbrellas for softening and broadening the light output, a background reflector, air cushioned light stands for support, and a hard shell wheeled case for transport and storage.
- Six F-Stop Power Range
- Dial provides infinite flash power settings, from full to 1/16 power, and improvement over the previous model.

- Highly sensitive, switchable optical slave for synchronization with other flashes.

Great setup for a small studio, especially at this price. The vast majority of my work is done outside of studios, so I didn't want to make a huge investment. These were just the ticket. They certainly are not for someone who will be depending on them for heavy daily use as they feel a bit flimsy, and you may need to be a bit creative in your diffusing, as these lights are rather harsh, both in color and focus. That being said, I've taken some nice shots with them with a minimal amount of tweaking. As a first set or for someone who isn't willing to front a lot of cash for an elaborate setup, these will suffice.

Very easy to use with great results. the included case could have some padding but that isn't very hard to DIY. The kit is very portable which is a huge plus!

Great lights constant color. Work very well in my small studio. From tabletop to full length portraits. Simple to use and adjust. I saw reviews saying the lights run hot but as I don't use the modeling lights all the time I have not had this issue.

I was looking to buy a studio light kit to use with my Canon 30D digital camera. I was wanting something easy to use, with great quality for a home studio. I had no idea what was a good brand, a friend told me Photogenic. This kit was just what I was looking for! Great amount of light for great portraits. Good price! LOVE IT!

I use the lights for small studio type work. They are powerful enough to light a small group of people and work great for more intimate sessions. They are easy to use and set up and the hard case protects them from damage. I will only buy Photogenics because they make a quality protuct.
