I use this for connecting a DV camcorder to my laptop for realtime capturing to FCP during shoots. Although the captures are 100% reliable, the connection of the 4 pin end to the camera is exceptionally loose...much looser than every other cable that I own. Although I always incorporate strain relief, with this cable I have to be careful that there is sufficient pressure on the loop to ensure that the cable doesn't detach.
