I recently picked up an external DVD burner for my macbook pro because I had the famous failed superdrive. I could go on and on about how Apple ignores this problem but this cable keeps me calm.
Pros: works and connections are good
Cons: It is a little thinner than all of my other firewire cables but it still seems to be good construction since I'm not rough with my gear. I would imagine that it could get run over with your desk chair wheel and maybe damage it so don't use if you are planning on laying this on the floor with traffic. Not much more to say about a cable I suppose.
