Comments about Pelican 1300 Case with Foam (Yellow):
This is not my 1st Pelican case, nor will it be my last. I was quite surprised when I open the case to start going at the foam, when I noticed the pick and pluck was different. Other cases, the foam is attached by small squares, not small square strips, which is in this case.
The case is higher than normal, so there's 2 layers of foam, but if I did it there way, my camera would have only had the small bottom layer foam to sit on, so I had to hack away at the foam to give my camera a more padded base, as it didn't need to be sitting all the way on the bottom for the lid to close.

Comments about Pelican 1300 Case with Foam (Yellow):
I got this product to take my D300 on a 50 mile float trip, down the Buffalo National River. It worked perfectly, my only complaint, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the fact that the foam can not be cut horizontally, it comes in two pieces, but there is no way to only remove part of the height of the foam.

Comments about Pelican 1300 Case with Foam (Yellow):
I strap it to the front of my Kayak to give me easy quick access to my Nikon SLR with an 18-200 zoom. Tough, waterproof, works great but latches need fair amount of force to shut.

Good product. Glad this model comes in a light color so it doesn't get too hot in the sun (not all pelican models include yellow).

It did what it was advertised to do: Protect my gear and keep it dry.
Not really a "CON," but an optional strap could come in handy sometimes.
