Comments about Pelican 1500 Case with Foam (Black):
I'm using the case to carry a small desktop server CPU and ethernet switch and all the associated cables. The pluck and pick foam made it incredibly easy to fit all the pieces snuggly and safely. And it's small enough to fit under a seat on an airplane as a carry-on.

I travel a lot, and I have been afraid to take my gear on the airplane with me. I don't have that fear with this case.

Comments about Pelican 1500 Case with Foam (Black):
I use this Pelican case to hold my audio equipment (microphones, headphones, etc). The pick-and-pluck foam is really great for my application, since even if I change microphones, most are approximately the same size. If I were storing something like my DSLR, where depending on what you're shooting you would pick different lenses, I would instead get the dividers. I feel that the foam provides the most protection however.
This case is ridiculous and probably overkill for my needs - I don't plan on whitewater rafting with it or anything. But the peace of mind provided by this case is unmatched. The latches close very solidly, and I can stand on the case. Possibly the only downside is that it's a little heavy, but I think it's worth it for the protection offered.

For my D700+28-70 f/2.8, 70-200 VR f/2.8 and Tokina 16-28 f/2.8. Also fits a few batteries and cards. Haven't tried it yet on the field but it feels very sturdy and secure.

I've looked at Pelican cases for years -just never thought I needed them- and I've finally bought one to use as a watertight camera compartment (for a D3 and 300mm F2.8) for my new photo kayak. Great construction- and still relatively lightweight.

This case is the smallest case that we could find that still gave adequate protection to our LTO5 Deck. Pelican cases are fantastic.

Comments about Pelican 1500 Case with Foam (Black):
Great sturdy case, the foam is laid out in a way to easily fit whatever it is you want to store in a secure way. The locks take a little getting used to, first time I was afraid to break the levers to close the case, but once I got use to it I realized that it was a tight seal. The air vent for presurization is a great idea. It is too bad that you could not order the lock from B & H. I will be ordering the name plate and lock for this.
Great product, I would buy this again if I had the option.
