Sto-Fen OM-EW Omni-Bounce for Canon and Sony Speedlights
The OM-EW Omni-Bounce from Sto-Fen creates a diffused bare bulb effect, giving even coverage across the entire frame, with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and slips onto and off the flash in seconds with custom fitting and no need for touch fastener. Designed for years of service without the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into a gadget bag or pocket.

I had a similar one by another company but it actually doesn't compare to this one. First off, the Sto-Fen brand feels more sturdy and the material is slightly rougher. Whether that helps diffuse the light or not is not too clear, but it is more white that the other brand. From my experience, the more translucent the less diffused. The whole point is to diffuse and spread from a small source, not reproduce the bare flash effect and put money down to do so.
Next, yes it does reduce the power down but so what? Just take your flash to Manual or punch the power up through the camera settings if you're worried and the problem is fixed. Use this to help soften and spread bounced light. Head on...I would use it more as a fill flash since the source is still small, but angling it above your subject still produces a soft light on them and if it's too much or too little, just tweek the power output and try again.
I also tested this in a dark room with poor lighting from a tall lamp in another room and the dark room was lit up beautifully with soft, almost nonexistent shadows. Try it and experiment. The results may surprise you for such a cheap add-on.

I took this omni-bounce to HIN car show & shot a few models with it. It does improve the flash performance quite a bit. I noticed that the reflections from the faces of models were reduced quite a bit. Without a bouncer, I noticed alot of reflections from the faces of models caused by dried sweat. This product softens the light output to reduce these reflections.
I also wanted this bouncer to reduce the shadows but I still see shadows in my shots. I would have rated it 5 stars if it was able to reduces the shadows further.

I got this softener for my new 430EX II. I got one other brand for my 580EX II but I was cheap back then I got the 5 bucks one from other brand.
That softener is much thiner softer (not lighting gets softer) is the actural materal. This one is much solid feel. I love it.

Using this on sony 43 flash, the fit on the unit is good. A little tight but that means won't come flying off. Once on wont fit in the sony flash bag/pouch. So just got to keep it in your pocket or camera bag. For the price something you should have with your flash.

So far it has lived up to my expectations. The product was as described and works great.
For what it is meant to do I cannot find anything negative to say about it. As with anything else, the context by which you use and compose photos with the omnibounce will dictate how much you like the product. It is obviously not meant to shoot with in all situations.

I mainly use the Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce for indoor pictures where the ambient light is mostly daylight coming through the windows or when the flash provides the main light to keep the color balance correct. It's great for spreading the light around the area rather than directing all the light straight out of the flash and onto the subject when bouncing off a wall or ceiling is less than ideal.

Seems to fit well so far...doesn't fall off my 430 ex11. Diffuses flash as you would expect. If you need more control, go for a modifier that is able to be "manipulated" more. but I think this should be a staple in any bag with a flash.
