The JBL LC2 is the ultimate Center Speaker component for your 4-way Studio L speaker system. Certainly you could add this fabulous center to any multichannel configuration, but you'll get the best results by matching all the speakers in your system. Like musical instruments, speakers have timbre, they have character and tend to color sound in a manner unique to their manufacture. Studio L speaker systems create the perfect environment for listening to SACDs. The 4-way version of the Studio L Center boasts a rounded, low-diffraction IsoPower baffle to reduce unwanted resonances. The heavily braced MDF construction minimizes internal vibration, clearing the way for perfect reproduction of the spoken word.
In a home theater system, the center channel is typically mounted directly above or below the video display, or even behind a projection screen if it is constructed to not alter the sound going through it. The LC2 boasts a straight-line signal path network to ensure the cleanest possible center channel signal, resulting in crisp and distinct movie dialogue.

Finally I can hear everything I have been missing when the actor whispers, or the boom mic is obviously not where it should be, in movies, in music, in everything. I actually TRIED to create distortion, BUT NO snap, crackle OR POP - just clarity across the spectrum! I'll never again have to ask "what'd he say?" MAKES ME FEEL YOUNG AGAIN!Cons: I cannot get beyond 80% volume; the glass in the picture frames rattle, my wife's crystal pieces in a display case "walk around" and my ears scream "enough already!"

I use this speaker as a center, mounted above my TV. Equally competent either for movies or music, it has been a spectacular addition. I just wish I'd bought it sooner!

I've mounted the JBL LC2 unit above my HD TV as part of a 5.1 surround system utilizing multi front speakers with a total of 13 drivers on either side of it, a JBL S120P-2 Sub and Fisher Studio Monitors in the rear. Control is via a Pioneer VSX-1016TXV-K feeding multiple outboard amps. Total system power is 2240 watts. The LC2 is an excellant addition to my system and I'm very pleased with it.

I loved this center speaker so much, I built a wooden platform for it and mounted it on top of my 52" projection HD TV. This is a truly awesome center that is crystal 'clear as a bell.' I am running Dahlquist DQ-10's perched atop Polk low frequency monitors with JBL Northridge E-100's outboard of those on each side, fed by a pair of bridged Adcom GFA 555 Mark 2's. I feed the center with an Adcom GFA 545 Mark 2. This center from JBL fills in the job of center perfectly.
