This is a great eye cup in as it fits my N80
also. I originally purchased this as a replacement for my D200, in case I lost it.
Then I thought if the same right angle finder
fits the N80 and D200 then why not this eye cup.
Well let me say that I wished this eye cup would have come with my N80, because it is a lot easier to use than the original. It slides on and off where the original fit over. I had lost two of the other types, after removing and reinstalling them to use the eye piece cap. I either bumped them off or didn't reinstall them properly. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore! Great Fit!

WIsh it hadn't fallen off the first time
There's ont much to review here. It fell off so I had to buy a new one. Its soft and rubbery and protects my eyeball from smashing into the viewfinder too harshly.

Dnt know where or how, but it popped off somewhere on the pacific coast highway whilst I was camping and photographing Gods beautiful Earth. I've gt aNikon camera and I love to take photographs. Momma don't take my Kodachrome away :)

I used to take this little item for granted... until I lost it. After owning my D80 for 5+ years, I finally lost the eyecup. The replacement fits even more snuggly, so I don't expect it's going to fall off. I ordered a second one just in case though.

I would give these 5 stars if they would stay on my cameras. They have a bad habit of disappearing when I'm walking around. At least the replacements are inexpensive.

It snaps on very easily. Only problem is that it can fall off easily and you can not notice it until it is too late. However this is so cheap for a camera accessory that you can buy several and cram them in your camera bag if you make a habit of losing them.

I have the uncanny ability to lose the eyecup off of my D200 every single time I shoot an event with it, so I can go through these like candy. My only complaint is that somehow Nikon didn't make them fit tight enough on so they don't pop off (I never lose the one off of my D300, for comparison). I tend to buy 4 or 5 at a time, so I always have a spare. Next time I think I am going to apply a bit of super glue so I stop losing them...

I'm a retired professional photgographer. Still actively shoot, and will for the foreseeable future. The DK-21 fits not just the D200 and D300 digital cameras, but also offers a PERFECT FIT on the Nikon N6006 film camera as well. It does not interfere with the film door. It's as if it was custom made for it. My N6006 is now 20 years old and is still in new condition. It is my first Nikon camera and has provided images suitable for publication. I have several Nikons now, two of them professional. Talk about backward compatibility! One piece of advice: Apply 3 narrow pieces of duct tape to the back of the DK-21, on the 3 sides facing the camera, which snugs it up to the camera, preventing it from inadvertently sliding off. It can prevent the frustration of losing it at the most inopertune moment.

The eyecup for my D200 and D300s were both torn from putting in and taking out of my bag and this one fits them both. The rubber on these thing is kind of flimsy. Good thing the are relatively inexpensive.
