Kenko 25mm Uniplus Tube DG Autofocus Extension Tube for Nikon AF
The Kenko 25mm Uniplus Tube DG (extension ring) is an accessory exclusively designed for use with standard AF lenses to shoot subjects at closer distance with higher magnification. Magnification ratio for the Uniplus Tube 25 is about 1/2 when used with a 50mm standard lens.
Provides perfect coupling with automatic aperture, TTL metering and AE mechanism. AF support is dependent on your lens' maximum aperture. As a rule, the lens has to be set to f/5.6 or brighter in order for the camera's AF system to work.
This DG Extension tube has upgraded "Gate-Array IC" circuitry to work better with digital SLR's and some of the digital SLR lenses.

Feels good and fits perfect. Works exactly as advertised, maintains all circuitry as long as ur shooting lower than f4.5 on zoom lenses but if going over u can shoot manual. Definitely recommended.

I have used this tube for several ultra close up shots with my Micro Nikkor 60 mm lens on my D200 camera.

I have used this on a 60mm micro, a 50mm 1.4 and a 70-200 VR and all have been far better than expectations. The quality and detail are amazing. Especially with the 60 mm. Lighting an be a problem but I use my SB-800 off camera and it has worked great.
A great addition if you are trying to get in really tight and I have had few if any AF issues. Great product.

I bought this to use with my macro lens so that I could get closer pictures. It works well and is easy to use. I have also tried it on my 55-200mm, but had some problems with the AF.

Purchased this and the UNIPLUS TUBE 12 DG instead of the kit for the heavier construction. They have performed well with my "D" and "G" lenses. I was particulary pleased with the ability to control aperture and utilize DOF preview functions on the "G" lens.

I did what research I could before purchasing this extension tube, but gathered that it probably wouldn't work with my AF-S (silent-wave) autofocus lenses. Thankfully that was wrong! Autofocus works just fine with my 24-70 f/2.8 AFS lens, as well as a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 silent-wave type lens. TTL flash exposures seem to be all over the place - might be my inexperience with macro photography but I think manual settings will work better. I got the 25mm tube only rather than the set, and it lets you get right up to an inch or so from a 50mm lens which is plenty close! One thing I didn't expect was that using the zoom lens with an extension tube is that the zoom really doesn't really change your field-of-view as your min/max focus distance changes as you zoom. Thus you are left with essentially the same field of view (i.e. magnification) although of course the perspective of your scene changes when you get closer.

nice that it's made in Japan. it's extremely difficult to focus on objects, even on a tripod. you will need to go into total manual mode.
