I bought the Hoya 58mm introductory kit because I was looking to get a few filters, specifically a polarizer and a UV filter. I thought for the price it was worth a shot. In hindsight, this was a great purchase.
I keep the UV filter on at all times (helps keep you from scratching/damaging your actual lens) and it hasn't impacted the quality of my pictures at all. The warming filter is fun to play with as it adds a little more yellow to the overall tone (very nice for "warming" portraits), but my favorite of the 3 is definitely the polarizing filter. On vacation recently, I really got to use it to full use at the beach and pool and it didn't disappoint. It does a nice job of bringing out the colors in my skies as it cuts the reflection in the water.
All three filters come packed in a folding carrying case with a velcro enclosure which is great for throwing in my bag. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this set for anyone who's looking to pick up a couple of filters for a minimal price.

I had two of the filters in this kit pop into pieces. One when I tried to remove it from my lens after leaving it on continuously for three months and the second as I was about to put it on the lens for the first time. Surprised by the poor construction, but maybe I got a bad batch.

The filters in this kit are well made and the addition of the carrying case is welcomed. I would recommed this kit to everyone - and the use of filters expands your capability. I shoot many water and outdoors pictures and the enhancement these filters give is noticable.

Comments about Hoya 58mm Introductory Filter Kit:
Filters are a cheap and easy way to enhance your photography. If your taking pictures on a pro level camera without filters....you're not a pro. They will save you hours in editing and they protect your expensive lens from scratches and particles. Invest with the best ;)

I use these on my Canon HF S200 camcorder. I just ordered a 58mm lens cap to protect them while on the camera. I have used Hoya filters on my SLR for years and love them.

I was not able to test the warming and CPL but I used the UV filter always to protect my HFS21 lens. The quality is very good. it doesn`t alter the images.

Comments about Hoya 58mm Introductory Filter Kit:
Great starter kit for an intermediate to advanced level photographer. The UV filter will be one I leave on to protect my lens at all times. The polarizer made my photos from a road trip to Montana really pop with all that blue sky. I can't wait for fall to arrive so I can really play with the warming filter, hello fall colors!

My first filter kit. Works great but then again I do not have anything to compare it to besides not having a filter at all. Getting a filter is definitely worth the money.
