The Hoya 62mm Introductory Filter Kit is a general purpose starter kit.
Ultraviolet (UV) Filter
Hoya Haze (UV) Filters are wise investments. They help protect your valuable investment from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs.
Circular Polarizing Filter
Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
Warming Filter (Intensifier)
The Hoya Warming filter controls the bluish coloration that affects daylight film. They can also remove excessive blue from the effects of electronic flash. Reduces blue to green color and makes the color of human skin look more sun-tanned. Combination with Pro 1UV filter is recommended for outdoor shooting.
Observação! Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems and video cameras).

As a new DSLR user purchasing his first system, I purchased this not knowing what they really did based on B&H's recommended equipment page. I knew filters were used in photography and were probably good to buy - and that was about it.
After reading about them on the way to the beach, I was certainly glad to have purchased this set. It contains a warming filter, a UV filter and a polarizing filter. I made good use of each one and saw a big difference between not using them and putting them on.
If you are just starting out, make sure to buy a set for your lens size.
The filter brand itself is very sturdy. I inadvertently banged my lens with a filter on it pretty hard against a car door, and although the paint was scratched the lens and the filter were fine.

I purchased these to go with a lens I also purchased from B&H. The UV filter is a great filter to generally keep on the lens for protection. The polarizing filter truly brings out the blue sky when used properly. The warming filter was a side (seldom used) filter for me, but adds value to the package and works fine.

Comments about Hoya 62mm Introductory Filter Kit:
Though this isn't the highest quality glass, you sure do get a lot for your money with this kit. A UV lens is an absolute necessity, and in many cases the Polarized is as well, especially if you live and shoot ofter near water. The warming lens is a great addition to help you deepen colors of flowers, textiles, and flesh tones.

Comments about Hoya 62mm Introductory Filter Kit:
The UV went on the lens as soon as both were opened, and I've only shot a little with the polarizer. I haven't yet pulled out the warming filter.
These all thread on very cleanly and feel sturdy. Not the fanciest filters I've ever seen but they seem like a reasonable value and come with a cute carrying case.

on an all around lense this kit helps to protect the lens (the uv filter) and helps with reflections when taking pictures on shiny/reflective objects like cars (the polarizer filter).

Comments about Hoya 62mm Introductory Filter Kit:
good product, a bit overpriced In my opinion for 3 basic filters and a nylon bag to stow in. But having a few basic filters, especially a UV for protection, is always a sound investment.
