The Web Smart 24-Port 10/100/1000+2 Combo SFP Swtich from D-Link is a powerful ethernet switch designed to interface with internet. The switch features 24 10/100/1000 "Gigabit" ethernet ports. Two optional Combo SFPs can be added via the included expansion slot. The switch also features 802.1Q VLANs, port mirroring and link aggregation. These features and more make it a great solution for interfacing between the internet and your medium-sized business's LAN.
- Smart Networking
- A network administrator can easily setup 802.1Q VLANs through a web-based interface which improves the quality of voice and video packets transmitted over the network. Network monitoring tools are also included, allowing for such functions as port mirroring and providing basic port statistics.
- Advanced Networking Features
- The switch supports such advanced features as 802.1p QoS, 802.3ad Link Aggregation, 802.1d Spanning Tree, Port Mirroring, Jumbo Frames and SMNP v1 management. These features allow for better performance when dealing with Voice Over IP, streaming media and content delivery.
- Ease of Use
- The switch features a number of functions that make installation and maintenance a breeze. Ports automatically switch between MDI and MDI-X, eliminating the need for crossover cables, and auto-negotiate for speed. LEDs are present to indicate status and activity, letting you diagnose some problems with a glance.
- Outstanding Performance
- The switch is powered by an 48 Gbps switching capacity that is built around a non-blocking wire-speed architecture. The switch also implements wire-speed filtering and store-and-forward switching in order to minimize the number of bad packets while maximizing performance at the same time.

Bought it as the primary network switch for the house. AV loads are now running SMOOTH, and large file transfers are much faster than on 100Mb. Network congestion is a thing of the past thanks to the backplane's 48Gbps capacity.
Plug and play for immediate operation, and very configurable for later advanced configuration.
No fans means it's QUIET, and it's very efficient on power. 31W max for a 24 port Gigabit switch? Wow.
