i bought it knowingly that the electronic connections do not exist - so it is all manual lens on this adapter. i found a self-help instruction from pentax imaging site to mount it on my dslr. once i learned how to use it, it works really well. that twisting knob requires 'how-to'.

I make heavy use of this adapter. Daily carry.
I purchased a Pentax 645; I use this adapter to use the 645 lenses on my Pentax small format cameras. I love it. If you plan your collection carefully, this adapter can help you to avoid duplicity in your small format rig. That is, you may not have to carry the same focal length twice just because you want to make pictures in medium and small format.
I highly recommend this adapter for people who use Pentax 645 equipment.
