Comments about Tamrac 5547 Adventure 7 Backpack (Black):

I usually bring my camera along with me when I do other things. This backpack 1) doesn't look like a camera bag, 2) has plenty of good storage for my camera gear (including zoom lens, filters, charger, flash, etc), and 3) has room for other things, like water bottles, books, extra layer of clothes, and more. So far I have really liked it!

Comments about Tamrac 5547 Adventure 7 Backpack (Black):

I bought this bag to primarily transport my camera gear while out hiking. It is a well made bag, and most importantly-was comfortable to wear. Previously I had a similar bag from another manufacturer. This bag measures up pretty well based on the price, however I wish it was slightly larger(this is the largest of this particular model), and had a little thicker padding, and lastly, I always liked the pull-out rain covers as provided on some bags. Overall, I think it is a good bag for the price. If I really wanted something a little bigger, more padded, etc, I should have expected to pay a little more: can't fault the product for my decision. A good bag at a very reasonable cost.

I bought this for a day bag for my canon T2. Spent the last week hiking in Rocky mountain national park and climbing Mt. Quandary in CO. It could hold my camera and enought water and food for the day. I like it and it's a keeper.

Comments about Tamrac 5547 Adventure 7 Backpack (Black):

I frequently take short trips and go places for the weekend and this pack works great for that purpose. I can carry all of my gear in one bag and if needed, I can strap my tripod to the bottom of it. Prior to this bag I would carry two camera bags or stuff both bags into a daypack just to keep everything together. If you are going to the family reunion for the afternoon you might want to take your camera in a smaller bag.

I have only had it for a few weeks and maybe the longest hike I took with it was about a mile fully loaded (tripod included) and found it very comfortable to wear. I do like the top compartment to carry additional items. To access your camera it does require taking the bag off your back.

The only thing I found frustrating was how difficult it was to use the dividers. With all that velcro it is hard to get them in place because they want to stick where you don't want them to.

Is it the perfect bag? Most likely not, but it does meet my needs.

I great backpack for the money. It's a well thought out design and functions perfectly for a body and a few lenses as well as a few other accessories. I use it with a Nikon D-90, 18-105mm lens, 70-300mm lens, 35mm lens, SB-800 flash, a set of tele-extenders and a few small accessories. That's about all that will fit without over stuffing it and risking damage to it's contents. If you have more gear to carry go to the next larger size. Super for my needs though. It's very comfortable too. I love it!

Comments about Tamrac 5547 Adventure 7 Backpack (Black):

My husband and I use this on trips to the zoo. We have our Canon Rebel Xsi with 18-55mm lens attached, an additional 55-250mm lens, a 50mm lens, and assorted cables in the bottom storage area. Our camera has an eyepiece extender, and with the extender attached the camera won't fit with the lens pointing down as the illustrations show, so we had to make some adjustments so it would lay flat (which probably protects the lens better anyway). In the top storage area, we've got a 420EX flash w/diffuser, our camera manual, a pack of tissues, a small notebook w/pen, and some cleaning supplies in a Ziploc bag. There's room for a few snacks, too. The outer, lower pocket has room for extra batteries/SD cards and a polarizer.

The bag is easy enough to carry, but it's a pain to have to put it down on the ground to change lenses, so it might not be the bag you want if you do that a lot. It's also not going to be big enough to take everything with you on a photo shoot (assuming you have more than what I've listed above). Overall, it's worked out pretty well for us - it's a lot more comfortable than the single shoulder strap bag we carried around before - but I may end up buying something like a sling bag at some point to to make it easier to swap out lenses.

I've used this backpack on a trip already and will use it in the future for work. It is well-made and comfortable. It's a nice size and fits a DSLR with lens on it, and room for 3 to 4 lenses. Not much to complain about, I guess that it takes time to get the camera out because you have to unzip and unlock, but that's fairly obvious by looking at it.

Love this backpack. Great functionality. Only issue is that it is a little small. Purchased for Canon 40D with 28-135 mm, 70-300 mm. Bag works great, but to add an additional lens or flash - the compartment would be tight. I bought two hoods for my lenses and with the hoods on the lenses either in stored position or employment, the bag is really tight. I chose to exchange my bag for another Tamrac product to hose my current lenses and future growth. If you plan on using the bag with just two lenses and a body, this bag is for you, otherwise you may want to get a larger bag. Tamrac is definitely a quality product and lives up to their reputation.

Comments about Tamrac 5547 Adventure 7 Backpack (Black):

I am a mother of 3 so this camera bag was a necessity for me. I can carry my kid and my camera. I have a digital SLR camera with two lenses. One of them is a 70-300 so it takes up a fair amount of space. I'm able to stow the camera with the lense attached, and the additional lense. This comes in handy when I'm going to an event or traveling out of town so I can take all of my gear with me, including my battery charger. I originally purchased the Adventure 6 Backpack, but it was just too small and everything was too tightly crammed. The main attributes to me are the top storage space for snacks, a light sweater, whatever, and the fact that I can carry it with my hands free. I'm often on the go, and want to have the pack on my back while I'm taking photos. The major complaints I have (hence the 4 out of 5 stars) are the plastic clips are too flimsy, and seem like they could easily snap if I'm too rough with it. This really bugs me, because I'm hoping this bag will last me a long time! It would also be convenient to have a cell phone pocket, but that's just a design suggestion.

The bag you have to buy if you don't need to carry all your equipment. It's quite comfortable and perfect for a big camera, or in my case, a small one with an attached grip, two additional lenses, a flash and additional batteries and charger. The upper compartment is really useful. The only "con" is that you need to put it out every time you have to put the camera in it. Not very practical if you have to do it very often. I have used it in a recent holiday trip and surely I'll take it in my next one. Very recommendable.

this pack easily fits my 30D with 17-85 IS lens. i also have a Canon 10-22, Nifty Fifty, and wired remote all in the bottom compartment. there is still room for another lens or flash. front pocket holds two CF cards, extra battery, and battery charger easily. basically everything i need is in this backpack and there is still the top compartment for a plethora of things...light jacket, snacks, accessories pack, etc

Nice sturdy bag. Could use a bit more room for 2 cameras. Barely fit Nikon 40x DSLR and Lumix DMC-F27 + 2 Lenses & flash in camera compartment. Pack area used for camcorder and assorted gear.

I use this for hiking and running into the hills where I live for photo excursions. I have a Canon EOS Rebel and it easily hold the camera, spare lenses, batteries & memory cards. All held neatly in bottom pocket. (zipper around the middle section reveals the bottem section-you fold back the top). Then the top pocket is perfect for a day pack - spare items or whatever else you need.
It fits very comfortably for long hikes and is very stable on your back with extra straps to tie around the waist. I would definitely recommend this for any outdoor photography.

I use this product for my Nikon D80, with the kit 18-55VR, 30-700 VR, Tamron 90 and 50 f1.8. Also, I have two Raynox macro-add ons, the 150 and 250, plus some filters. The only thing that can't fit in the lower compartments is th Giottos rocket blower. Everything else fits! Oh, I forgot the SB400!

However, I am hoping to be able to afford a bigger lens, and I should have foreseen that. The bag is not big enough anymore.

The carrying system is good. The only thing that I don't think is great is the top compartment, which doesn't really fit anything except small stuff. I have the Thom Hogan field guide, a small booklet, and have to squeeze it in. Other than that, no complaints.
