five stars! nikon brand and it does whut a batteries suppose to do i dunno whut else i caan review this product about lol i mean its just a battery but yeah. these batterys are really quick when it come to recharging! for me ive killed one of these like once and another one still at round 30% left and they recharged in less that 2 hours! that might be a bit slow for some people but im perfectly fine with that. annnd thats about it~... u can prolly use it as an emergency weapon of some sort like a rock and throw it at somebody but i doubt youll be throwing [$] at somebody unless you like REALLY need to XD and it should be able to survive drops on carpet n like soft surfaces so whenu throw it at someone and your on carpet...you can just pick up the batt afterwards and still be able to use it :DDD if i were you id just save up for this rather than getting a third party batt.

While I have used both Nikon and aftermarket batteries I am not thrilled with either. The Nikon ones are better and do not require any firmware updates, do keep in mind that NIKON DOES NOT WARRANTY BATTERIES!!!
I found this out the hard way after using my batteries for a year or so and they just stop working or will not charge. Even when the battery indicator on my camera says the battery is "new". Frustrating, and Nikon says sorry please buy a new one.

What is that great about a battery other than it holding a charge the way it is supposed to. These do, but comparing it to another battery is impossible so you never know if it is a good amount of time holding the charge or not. It's a great battery regardless.

I purchased another back up battery before heading off on a birding trip just in case one of my other older batteries decided to die. To tell you the truth, one of these lasts me all day long and the cameras' battery info always reads "new" even after many charges and a being a few years old. I'm using: D90 (minimal flash) with the camera "on" most of the day, a Sigma "BIGMA OS" which eats some juice, and easily getting 200 - 300 shots. Why use after market?

Have non Nikon backup, not so good. Need reliable backup for Alaska trip. Nikon battery is only way to go for me. Even the original battery that came with the camera shows and performs as new. I use in. D300.

I'm using this as a second battery in a MD-D80 Multi-Power Battery Pack for a NIkon D90 and it works perfectly. I never really had an issue with the battery draining down during day use but just wanted the insurance of additional battery life for event photography. Not much to say other than the battery works like it's supposed to!
