American constraction, Japanease made, previosely known as Micromega Critical Focuser - it's really THE standard of the industry. Forget ALL the other ones - the Model I with its pivoting lupe is just uncomparable... makes those 'competitors' look like a Kiev next to a Hasselblad.
Think its expensive? Actually, It SAVES quite a bit of money making fast enlarging lenses unnesessary. The 'air focusing' works great even at f/32. And, by the way, slow lenses usually tend to be sharper!

Comments about Peak Critical Enlarging Focuser Model 1:
I recently got equipped with a brand new enlarger and every accessory that you can imagine. It's really easy to focus the image using this grain focusser and is built sturdy enough to last a lifetime or two. I also purchased a spare mirror and filter for B&W just in case this model gets discontinued at some point in time. Trust me, pretty much all darkroom stuff will disappear over the years. If you want your images to be tack sharp, get this item!
