Comments about Anton Bauer PT-FS4 Power Tap to Firestore - Power Adapter Cable:

Lets me hook up the Focus Enhancements FS5cv to a Anton Bauer Dionic90 battery using the AB Gold Mount on my camera. I get over 3 times the battery life which natches the 100 gig storage of the FS5

Does what it's supposed to. Power my Firestore off of the Anton Bauer batts. Handy for when the shoot runs long and the Firestore starts to lose charge. Wish these little parts weren't so pricey, but what can you do...

It's pricey, but worth the investment. I use it with my MR HD100. The included battery only lasts 3 hours, but with this I can go all day. I found that it didn't drain my Dionic 90 battery that much (no more than my Frezzi or Lectrosonics wireless)

Personally I have never bothered to use the battery that comes with the HD100 DTE - with this adapter you just connect to your current Anton Bauer plate for power..

Comments about Anton Bauer PT-FS4 Power Tap to Firestore - Power Adapter Cable:

The Power Tap really helped make a recent shoot a lot smoother. I didn't have to worry about whether my DR-HD100 would lose power. I only had to concentrate on whether my battery had enough power. 3 Day shoot and one less thing to worry about. Therefore I could concentrate on other more important things. I recommend this product.

Comments about Anton Bauer PT-FS4 Power Tap to Firestore - Power Adapter Cable:

If you own a Firestore HD for any camera with an Anton Bauer battery mount, one of these is a must-have. It allows you to power your Firestore from the battery and, used with the ABW-MK-HD100 Holder f/FS4, or the generic FS4 mount, mount the Firestore behind the AB battery. Very useful, as this will power and charge the Firestore's own battery any time there is an AB battery on the camera's mount. Be careful of the Power Tap connection on the bottom of the Firestore as it sticks out and can receive more than it's fair share of bumps. Too many and the power connection starts to loosen and the HD doesn't always get power properly from the AB battery.

Be careful with this, it allows the FireStore to suck your battery in no time. You might be able to change the voltage in the camera settings to avoid a series of dead batteries but I would advise anyone using a FireStore to make sure it's charged before you attach it to your camera battery.
