Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
I have purchased batteries before, most recently a 'knock off' brand to save a few bucks! Boy, what a mistake! With those batteries, brand not being mentioned, I couldn't shoot an entire wedding without having to change battery packs. Fortunately I came around and purchased two of these packs. Well, I was able to shoot an entire wedding and more than half of the following reception. These batteries rock!
I would suggest the HP 970G to any and every applicable Canon camera owner. Great job Canon! You are lifesavers.

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
A must for long shoots. Like weddings where you might not have time/or convenience to change the battery. But like all batteries, expensive. And it takes a long time to recharge.

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
This battery reliably lasts for a long time. I shoot long documentary interviews and this battery does exactly what I need it to do.
My only complaint is that it takes so long to recharge, and it's really heavy.

The longest one available for my camcorder. I wish they made one that lasts longer, like Sony does..

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
Aside from forgetting to charge this the night before my shoot when I first bought it and panicking as I looked at my battery level dropping and it still wasn't done charging, this battery is perfect. I keep this one on the camera and use the 950 as the back-up.i could shoot all day and not run out of juice.

I would not buy this product again
because there is no need, the battery lasts up to 6-7 hours, enough even to shoot several weddings.

Pretty much a solid battery. can be a little sticky when getting it in and out of my on-camera monitor, but that's more the battery mount than anything.

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
Great battery, reliable and balances my Canon XM2 (or GL2 for you in America|) perfectly as I have the optional wide lens adaptor on the front (also purchased from B & H). If you need a decent battery, as I did, with this product you can't go wrong

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
The stock battery in most pro camcorders is generally a "last resort" one but in my XF300 gives 4 hours of time. I wanted bigger capacity anyway and couldn't swing for the big battery made specifically for the XF. This battery is a LOT less expensive and doesn't give time remaining info but I ran it on a stopwatch to 7 hours! Incredible! I bought 2!

Works just like it said it would. Expensive however...kinda wanted to go with the real Canon battery vs. an off brand. The off brand might work just as well.

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
I use this pack as my primary battery in my XH-A1s, and I just keep the stock battery as a backup.
I love the battery. It's absolutely massive, so it lasts for an incredibly long time. I would definitely recommend buying Canon, since the battery is made to very precise specifications, and is up to Canon's standard. I have heard unfortunate things about third-party batteries for the XH-A1.
The only drawbacks I can think of are the price and recharge time. It's pretty expensive, and takes a long time to recharge, although the time is understandable considering this battery's capacity. However, I made the plunge, and I am glad I did. This battery will last you quite awhile, both in the field and in lifetime.

Comments about Canon BP-970G Battery Pack - 7.2v, 7200mAh:
I ordered this with my XH-A1. Last weekend I worked with two other videographers on an all day shoot. My two colleagues had to change batteries twice before I even had to think about changing out this battery. Lasted at least 6 hours (didn't really keep track). Highly impressed with this battery. Buy it.
