Comments about Sony HDC-X310 HD Multi-Purpose Video Camera, 1/2-Inch 3-CCD System with HD-SDI and Fiber Optic Control Interface, for Scientific, CCTV and Studio Production:
I use this camera in a events auditorium for shooting concerts, classes, and teaching content. We use it with a variety of Cannon & Fujinon HD lenses. Its a good entry level camera with a number of good features for basic studio type shooting, its also very small and compact with lense and controls, so its descreet in a crowded room, compared to larger model camera available. It unfortunately requires quite a lot of "extras". You'll need sperate lenses, Camera control network and control units. As well as a control box, so it needs a lot "extras", but it works right well for me, so far after the last year and a half. Also the picture quality, leaves something to be desired, but for the cost its alright.
