The JBL LSR4326P is a robust (28 lbs.), biamplified, 2-way studio monitor speaker, housed in a sturdy, handsome cabinet with a dark graphite finish and a carefully damped and baffled interior. The 6.25", Neodymium woofer and Waveguide-controlled 1" silk dome tweeter are powered by 150 and 70 Watt amplifiers, respectively.
The LSR4326P features a uniquely ambitious front and rear panel set of tune and tone controls, that borders on the fanatical in sheer statistical density. We are now recording and mixing in some strange and wonderful places, and these places may foster and nurture the creative spirit, but for critical listening these places often need sound treatment, and it doesn't get done. And that is why JBL has stocked the LSR4326P with knobs, switches and a remote control - to help us get good mixes in poor acoustic environments.
Now, all of this compensation for room modes, nodes, and standing waves, in bright, boomy, dull, fluttery, boxy, cavernous rooms, and all the other environmental acoustic aberrations that can make mixing a sad experience, does not come cheaply. But, the LSR4326P is designed very much for an age where a lot of music is recorded outside of the "proper" recording studio, and this speaker provides a certain reassurance that no matter where, and how strange, the space you're working in really is, you can fix it in the mix.

Comments about JBL LSR4326PPAK - Pair of LSR-4326P MonitorsLSR4300 Acc. Kit:
I run a small post production house in the New England area, and I am also a speaker enthusiast. I use these for mixing audio for commercials, independent films, instructional videos all kinds of things of that nature.
The first thing I noticed right off is that the sweet spot is wide enough to be able to move around. Which is important to me. They seem to be pretty flat, and in my treated room the sound meter reads a dip in mid to low frequency (I don't remember the exact numbers). This may be because of my wall treatments absorbing too much bass?? I EQ'd the curve out, and things are sounding pretty nice.
The calibrating program that comes with them, does not work for OSX 10.5. Just like every other OSX software that is running on a PPC chipset. This is probably more of an Apple issue.
The low end on the 6" cuts off rather abruptly, but the complete surround kit comes with a sub. I don't have a sub, and I know I'm missing some sounds down there, so if your mixing music or feature films with tons of LFE then you'll want the sub. Most of my stuff has been for TV so I'm not catering to surround systems or music.
Lastly, I simply enjoy the sound of these puppies. I stay out at the office late just to listen to them. They have really cut listening fatigue down, I can work all day then listen to music for a few hours after work, and still not have fatigue/head ache. One of the most attractive points was the price. I kept myself from getting the more expensive German brand, and I am pleasantly surprised.
Great choice, accurate, and flat.
