For a very low cost it makes the screens on the P&S Digitals much easier to see in daylight. These should have been standard from the factories.

Thanks to this simple product I can now see the digital screen without any flareup of sun! It's great to be actually view what I want to photograph.It was easy to put on the camera....just remove the tape cover and it's attached! I bought one also for my wife's camera because she was having the same viewing problem. with this unit, problem solved!

If you have a very small case that JUST fits the camera it will be a tight fit with this on.

It is easy to open and close, lightweight, and easy to attach. No more glare from the sun either.

All in all a great purchase. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the extra bulk it adds to the camera.

makes LCD screen visable in direct light. with camera w/o view finder it is absolutely necessary as screen is not useable outside w/o glare guard screen protector.

Finally a product that helps you see what you're looking at on your LCD screen in the bright outdoors. When open it shades your LCD screen so you can either evaluate the shot or review the shot. When not in use you can close it and it folds up on itself so that it's a very low profile attached to the back of your camera. The only thing I didn't like about it was that you have to "glue" it to the back of your camera. But really there is no choice because there's no bracket to attach it to on these point & shoot digital cameras. The "glue" is a self stick frame on the shade. You can also detach the shade from the frame if you need to.

Working with the Canon Powershot 720A and using the converter and additional lenses -- this pop-up screen is essential to eliminate glare when composing the shot. I can't look through the viewfinder, as the scene is partially obscured by the lens. So far, it has stayed attached to the camera body with no problem.

Very helpful for cutting down screen reflections, except in really high-glare outdoor situations. Only problem is tendency for hood to slip off too easily, usually when taking camera from its case. In fact I lost one once, but it's so helpful I bought another.

The pop-up shade cover broke off within a day or two of installation. I have decided it is useful even with only the screen guard piece on, as protection for my camera's LCD screen. And I like that it's more compact with the cover flap broken off. But I still rate it low because it shouldn't break so quickly!

Does the job as indicated. We do a lot of beach shoots where the glare is very heavy and bright. This helps so much.

Problems Encountered: Here is the big issue that is not pointed out in the description. In beach shoots we are constantly having our clients change positions on the beach. Everytime they change to a different spot, after the first shot or two, I always like to check my DSLR LCD for the results. You can not leave the cover open and still see through the viewfinder to take your next shot.. This is a real issue that makes thing more difficult. You have to STOP shooting, open the lens shade, look at your shots, close the lens shade and then you can look through the viewfinder to continue shooting.I did not consider this when I ordered the LCD popup shade.

An important accessory for this camera...for bright light viewing. For reviewing of photos taken. And, for protection of optical clear glass protected.

Problems Encountered: Needs to be glued into place. Does not stay on without eventually adding your own glue to keep in place.
