The Kenko 12mm UniplusTube DG (extension ring) is an accessory exclusively designed for use with standard AF lenses to shoot subjects at closer distance with higher magnification. Magnification ratio and focusing distance effect vary according to lens and tube combination. The longer the tube, the stronger the effect.
Provides perfect coupling with automatic aperture, TTL metering and AE mechanism. AF support is dependent on your lens' maximum aperture. As a rule, the lens has to be set to f/5.6 or brighter in order for the camera's AF system to work.
This DG Extension tube has upgraded "Gate-Array IC" circuitry to work better with digital SLRs and some of the digital SLR lenses.

Comments about Kenko 12mm UniplusTube DG - Auto Extension Tube for Canon EOS:
It is great for macro shots. It will not be as "macro" as a professional, but it is user friendly and is perfect for my use.

Comments about Kenko 12mm UniplusTube DG - Auto Extension Tube for Canon EOS:
This tube does it's first job which is to allow me to decrease my minimum focusing distance, which is great. What I don't like is that sometimes it will let my auto focus work while other times I have to remove and re-install the tube in order to have the auto focus work. That being said, I have made some really nice photographs while using this tube.

Comments about Kenko 12mm UniplusTube DG - Auto Extension Tube for Canon EOS:
I really wanted to get more out of my Canon 60/2.8 with a Kenko TC and this tube, but made the mistake of not noticing that this tube was not EFS-friendly. Kenko does make Unitubes, but they don't seem be be available in the States. Not a problem, I will use this 12mm Kenko with my EF lenses.
