The PM5 from E-MU is a high-quality, compact active nearfield monitor, perfect for stereo or multichannel monitoring for music, video, or broadcasting applications in small professional or project studios. Powered by two 40W MOSFET amplifiers, the 5" woofer and 1" tweeter provide a full frequency range of 67Hz to 20kHz with excellent clarity. The front baffle is 1" thick, eliminating internal resonance, and has radiused edges for remarkable imaging.
The rear of the cabinet offers both a balanced XLR/TRS combo input and an unbalanced RCA input for use with a wide variety of systems. Controls for controlling bass, treble, and overall volume levels are included for optimization to your workspace and your system. The active 2nd order Butterworth crossover has a frequency of 2.5kHz, ensuring each driver produces the tones it's ideally suited for.
