Comments about APC BACK-UPS 900VA 120V Uninterrupted Power Supply with USB Communication Port:
APC what else to say the leaders in backup! This unit is heads and shoulders above a Eaton Powerware unit that it replaced due to failure of the Eaton.
I replaced it with this unit and only use a fraction of the wattage which displays the voltage as well as wattage used. I do like the unit as it has a r45 jack to usb while others use a straight usb adapter this could be networked or plugged into a switch for lan detection.
Cons- the model is actually a RS 900 which might confuse some people but works great.

Comments about APC BACK-UPS 900VA 120V Uninterrupted Power Supply with USB Communication Port:
I'm using it in my office and at home to keep power on during power outages. It does a great job of doing this, never had a problem of battery suddenly dying like it happened to me with other products (Tripp). Battery can be replaced without replacing a whole unit (which I've done) although price of the battery is high enough that APC recommendations to upgrade to a new unit seems reasonable.

Comments about APC BACK-UPS 900VA 120V Uninterrupted Power Supply with USB Communication Port:
A backup power supply is nothing to get excited about, but right after I got the unit there was a killer thunderstorm which outed the power for several hours. I would have lost valuable revisions to a manuscript if the supply hadn't kicked in to give me time to save my documents and photo edits.
