The picture on our 4-yr-old Sony TV would just black out while we were watching it...no picture, no sound, but the power light showed it was still on. After a few minutes, it would all come back on. We replaced the XL2200 lamp and wa-la! no more problems AND the picture was so much clearer and brighter! We didn't realize how much the picture had deteriorated over the years, but the new lamp improved all that.

After spending a few days searching online for a replacement lamp and becoming discouraged by the reviews on other sites, I was glad to find this site that showed nothing but positive reviews for the sony lamp. It seemed from the reviews on the other sites, the lamp wasn't a genuine Sony product. Glad to see that B&H had this.

Its soo important to buy the right lamp for your tv. I bought a knock off version before thinking it was the real thing and that lamp did not last the install. It blew on installation. So when I checked out the reviews and comments on other sites on where to get the actual Sony lamp replacement this site was recommended. I bought it, installed it and its working great. Its the actually Sony product! I definitely recommend this site for this product.

My Sony TV was not working. It would turn on then in a few minutes the picture would go black and the green led would blink then it would come back on. I called my service guy and he said he didn't know what it was. (not calling him anymore)so I asked a friend and he told me it was the bulb. Did a little research and found out what bulb to get. It has to be the "real" Sony replacement part and this is it. TV looks brand new! Had know idea how bad the picture was before. Easy took 5 mins to replace no tools needed. Comes with allen key.

This lamp was exactly what I needed for my Sony. It came with everything you need to replace the lamp, even the wrench to remove the old one and tighten the new one. I got almost six years out of my original lamp and I hope that this new one performs as well.
I was wary of purchasing these lamps online and not being sure that I was getting exactly what I thought, but this exactly what I was looking for.

This was a replacement bulb to a knock off bulb I thought I was saving money with eight months ago.

This bulb is an OEM bulb and not a knock off. The quality of the bulb and my anticipated length of life of were my ultimate deciding factors. Installation was a breeze thanks to the instructions. It even came with the necessary tool Used to remove the old and replace the new bulb.

Things not so great, I honestly can't think of any.

Less than I expected to pay, and the results were better than expected. I didn't realize that my TV had faded some, but after placing the new lamp my TV looked so bright - impressive!

This was a great buy. it was the lowest price I could find for a SONY XL2200 replacement lamp.
It even came with the allen wrench to remove and replace the lamp. Was easy to install. Worked perfect.
