The Sony DSBK-2020 is the DVCAM Master Series HD Upconverter board for the DSR-2000A VTR. This optional interface board greatly enhances the DVCAM family, allowing existing standard definition DVCAM users to bridge the gap to the HD world at a minimal additional investment. Standard definition DV and DVCAM recordings can now be easily up-converted to either 1080i-60/50 or 720p60. Additionally, in the case of the DSR-2000A with DSBK-2020, a standard definition signal input to either the SDI or analog interfaces can be seamlessly up converted and output via the HD-SDI interface.
- Low Cost Efficiency
- The DSBK-2020 is a low cost solution for standard definition shooters to enter the world of high definition video production. The standard definition video can be up-converted with this optional board to to either 1080i (50 or 60 frame) or 720p/60frame. There are a selection of picture modes including Squeeze, Letterbox and Edge Crop. Additionally, signals input via SDI or the analog connectors can be up-converted E-E through the HD-SDI connector.
- Easy Up-Converting for HD Broadcast
- The DSBK-2020 is actually a low cost investment for facilities with a catalog of DV and DVCAM material. The previously created programming can be converted for HDTV broadcasting simply by playing the standard definition material and output through the HD output connectors on this optional DSBK-2020 board.
