The EV-20A from TOA Electronics is a compact digital audio repeater ideal for use in kiosks and retail displays. Audio can be recorded to the EV-20A by the internal microphone or an external mic, by an external audio device, or by transferring audio from a computer via USB. A built-in sensor allows motion activation, though repeated interval and external activation are also available.
The EV-20A stores CD-quality audio on removable SmartMedia memory cards. A 32MB card is included, which holds up to six minutes of audio. The unit can also broadcast audio from connected devices. Separate music and message storage and controls let you create several message/music combinations.
Three playback mixing options are available in the EV-20A: 1 - Music plays, then a message comes in and the two play simultaneously, 2 - music starts and the music volume is reduced when the message starts, or 3 - the music plays and message begins when music playback is over. The unit can be wall or ceiling mounted with optional hardware. It has no moving parts resulting in a long life with minimal upkeep.
