Comments about AKG EK500S Detachable Coiled Replacement Headphone Cable:
Good quality coiled cable replacement for my akg 702. I'm not scared anymore to break the cable under the wheels of my chair since the cable is knot free and easy to stowe. Good product for messy people like me.

The AKG coiled cable makes a big difference for me. It's comfortable and easily manageable. No entanglement and that's number one for me. I use it every single day because I work as a radio Broadcaster.

Comments about AKG EK500S Detachable Coiled Replacement Headphone Cable:
I got this cable to replace the original AKG K702 long cable. The cable is plastic coated, picks up any vibrations and transmits them into the headphones. Not a good product, stick with the original cable.

Comments about AKG EK500S Detachable Coiled Replacement Headphone Cable:
Sound Devices 302 &/or 442 mixer owners can use this (as well as it's sister cable the EK300) as a 'Tape Out' cable. They are, as far as I know, the only factory molded TA3 (mini-XLR) to 3.5mm (1/8") mini-jack cables on the market - & gold plated to boot! All others on the market are hand made & soldered.
However one important note on the wiring of this cable: it switches the left & right channels around. So long as this isn't a problem it makes the perfect Sound Devices 'Tape Out' cable & is in fact cheaper than others on the market too. Highly durable & high quality. I've been using my EK300 for over a year now, on a daily basis, without a single problem.
