The Optivault Archival Appliance from Primera uses archival quality DVD media to create backups with a data life of over fifty years. The backup appliance has a 25 DVD capacity and can hold up to 117GB of uncompressed media at any one time. Labels are applied directly to archival-quality inkjet-printable DVD media with a high-resolution disc printer that is integrated into the backup device. The Optivault connects to your computer via a standard USB 2.0 interface and drivers and software are included for Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003.

Dantz Retrospect Backup Software
The Optivault ships with the powerful Dantz Retrospect Backup software suite, giving you all the tools you need to begin backing up your critical data.
25-Disc Capacity
The 25-Disc capacity allows the Optivault to backup 117GB of data in one batch, giving you ample capacity to put your critical data on disc.
Inkjet Printing
The Optivault is built around the popular Bravo II inkjet CD printer, letting you label your data directly. This makes sure that your labels are correct for each disc, there is no need to keep a sharpie around to label your backups.
50-Year Archival Life
Primera's TuffCoat Archival Media has a data life of over fifty years, ensuring that your data can be recovered for years to come if necessary. Primera promises extremely low error rates from their media, as well as a fast-drying inkjet-printable surface so your labels will not smear.
