Smaller in diameter than the Grip Pen and without the cushioned grip, the Classic Pen from Wacom is classic in both shape and functionality, and is ideal for document entry or handwriting applications. It has a two-button DuoSwitch and a pressure-sensitive eraser.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
I had been using the grip pen with my Intuos 3, and bought this as a replacement when it went south. When the Classic pen first arrived I thought it might be too thin. It only took about 5 minutes to realize I had been using the wrong pen all along.
In reading other reviews I thought this might be a good (and more economical) choice to purchasing another grip pen, but I was concerned that it would be somehow lacking since it is so much cheaper. Not so, it is absolutely identical to the grip pen in features, the only difference is that it has a thinner body and no rubber sleeve.
Since the Classic so much easier to hold and manipulate, I don't need or miss the sleeve at all.
I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you have smaller hands and want a pen that is much more comfortable.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
The Intuos Classic Pen works great and fits perfectly in my hand. This feels much better in my hand than the Intuos Grip Pen.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
I am using this pen to write/draw/take notice'es as a student at school, and are also using the Grip pen for the same purpose at home. (The one with rubber grip)
The grip pen might be a bit better when it comes to comfort, but the Classic pen are a little lighter.
The Classic pen also have a smaller diameter which makes it a bit more difficult to right-click. - Not a big thing.
If the choice is about this two pens, it really comes down to price.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
This pen weighs about the same as the pen that came with the Intuos3 but is configured to feel like a regular pen. Out of the box its defaults were a little too sensitive, but after adjusting it works as expected.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
My husband gifted me the Intuos3 and I love it! But the pen was always a little bulky and hard for my small girl fingers to hold. I bought this pen and it's absolutely perfect! My digital art has gotten way better.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
My friend recently gave me a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, but unfortunately lost the pen during a recent move.I was skeptical whether the replacement pen would connect correctly or not. It works great! Just like the original grip pen except lighter and slimmer.I am yet to find anything wrong with this product. It even came with the nib replacement tool and 3 replacement nibs. It also has a felt nib and another nib just for comport or to change the feel of the pen gliding over the tablet. Great Price, [...]

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
I'm a motion graphics designer, and make my living doing work that takes hours, and ends up on the screen for minutes! I had used the "fatter" version of the intuos pen, and decided that it was just a bit too wide for my hand - the Wacom Classic Pen feels like a real pen. Not too chunky, just right. It saves fatigue and lets me work more comfortably for longer periods of time. It's essential when I'm working on a character animation with hundreds of keyframes.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
I dropped and stepped on my grip pen. So I bought this to replace my grip pen. I must say I like it better than the grip pen. The barrel of this one is more like a regular ink pen.
I use this pen and the Wacom tablet to edit photos.

Comments about Wacom Classic Pen:
If you are an artist and prefer to use a wacom pen that isn't the width of a sharpie marker, than this is the item for you ;) I really don't see how the standard Wacom pen can be used without feeling like I'm back in kindergarten, this pen is ESSENTIAL for a natural, real-world pen like feel.[...] Once you use the Classic Wacom pen you wont ever want to go back.
